Healing the USA

This is an area where I am preaching to myself as well as others.

For the follower of Jesus, we should not waste precious time griping over what some politician or pundit or online post-er has said.

The apostle Paul has called on us to be in prayer for the representatives of the people at all levels. Being a whiny-baby over what is happening in the nation will accomplish nothing good and can compound harm being done.

You must be praying with understanding and in the Spirit. Faith is where it all must begin.

(1) Stand firm on what God's Word promises, believing He will answer your prayers and heal the land. Use specific verses in context that apply.

(2) Watch your words. Joining your voice to the naysayers will undo your faith in a heartbeat. Speak life to your desired outcome: creative power lies in your spoken word.

(3) Act on what you say you believe. Ask the Lord how He wants you to vote and in terms of what we write and say, then DO IT! He will never tell you to vote for or support someone whose words and actions run directly against His Word.

(4) Forgive. An unforgiving heart can never be in faith, so throw strife violently away from you-- even those politicians who annoy you. Let God's love flow through you as you pray for them. Yes, especially THAT one.
