Thousands of Christians in the affected areas joined in faith against this monster storm Friday through Sunday, along with brothers and sisters in Branson, Missouri and elsewhere, and many more online.

It can make the difference in whether a person evacuates and in time. It can help ensure he prepares adequately for what will be faced. It can keep a person in the area from turning left to going right and missing out on an injury that was waiting for him.

Before a believer in Christ can pray effectively, he first should read the Bible in order to ascertain what the Lord has to say on the matter. His Word is His express will. With that the person knows that he is praying in the will of God. Then he will have the faith to believe he has what he asks.

Far too many who call themselves by the Name of Christ truly do not understand precisely who and what we are in Christ; what astounding power we can access through the Word and the Name. Sadly, far too many also fail to understand even the few basic tenets of Christianity.

It is much like driving a car without ever having studied the owners’ manual. Sure, you might not run into a tree on your first time out with your new license. Yet you miss out on most of the car’s capabilities that the engineers put there for your safety and benefit.

Never, never call any evil of nature an “act of God.” “Do not err, my beloved brethren. Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and comes down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning.” James 1:16-17. There is another spiritual influencer, who is called the father of lies, the one who steals, kills and destroys: the devil.

By the same token, there is no “mother nature.” That concept stems from an ungodly, pagan worship of nature, which is a demonic practice.
