I am a Soldier in the Army of God

I am a soldier in the army of my Father, Jehovah God. The Lord Jesus the Messiah is my Commanding Officer. The Holy Bible is my code of conduct. Faith, prayer, the Word and the force of my own testimony are my weapons of warfare. I have been taught by Holy Spirit, trained by experience, tried by adversity and tested by fire.

I am a volunteer in this army, and am enlisted for eternity without end. I will retire from this army only as I breathe my last breath on this earth. However, I will not muster out, sell out, be talked out or be forced out.

I am faithful, reliable, capable and dependable. If my God needs me, I am standing in formation, fully dressed, armed for service and ready to move out. I am a soldier, not a baby. I do not need to be pampered, petted, primed up, pumped up, picked up or pepped up. I am a soldier. No one has to call me, remind me, write me, visit me, entice me or lure me. I am a soldier, not a wimp. I am in place, saluting my King who is the King of all kings. Obeying His orders, praising His Name and building His kingdom-- that's me over here!

No one has to send me flowers, gifts, food, cards, candy, or give me handouts. I do not need to be culled, cradled, cared for or catered to. I am committed. I cannot have my feelings hurt badly enough to turn me around. I cannot be discouraged enought to turn me aside. I cannot lose enough to cause me to quit... and I will never surrender spiritual ground gained.

When Jesus called me into this army I had nothing of value other than my time, my energies and my soul. If I end up with nothing physical in this life, I will come out far more than even. I have already won. Yet all of His promises in the Word are trustworthy and true, and He paid the price to ensure they are mine. My God supplies all my needs according to His riches in glory as well as the good desires of my heart.

I am more than a conqueror: I will always triumph, for God gives me the victory. I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me. Devils cannot defeat me. People cannot disillusion me. Weather cannot weary me. Sickness cannot stop me. Foes cannot defeat me in battle. Money cannot buy me. False religions cannot confuse me. Governments cannot silence me, and hell cannot handle me! I am a soldier.

Even death cannot destroy me. For when my Commander in Chief calls me from this battlefield, He will promote me to leadership. I am a soldier in the Army of Christ. I march ever forward, claiming victory. I will never give up. I will never turn around. I am a soldier, marching to reclaim lost territory.

Heaven bound, here I stand! Will you stand with me? The rewards are beyond anything you can dare ask or imagine.
