We ask for prayers and input

We covet your prayers in faith for the next and subsequent moves in my career as a Christian writer.

As is somewhat common with books reaching or passing their second year on the market, I have been encouraged by several to make update changes to the manuscript for "The Disappearance," change the name and re-visit the cover design for a second edition, which should hit the market in time for the Christmas season of 2017. The plan is to receive a new ISBN number, and consider a different publishing option.

Shortly after that "Elliott" should be finished and ready to publish along with my first children's book, "Sandy the Sock." There are at least six more books in varying stages of research and preparation including a fictionalized autobiography. We are trusting in the Lord for inspiration, guidance, favor, deals, and financial cover for our part of any publication/marketing.

After three years and two publishers (the first was "vanity" publishing with the author covering 100%; the second was "subsidized" publishing with the publisher having some financial "skin in the game." (Post-production commitment? Eh, not so much, but very eager to sell the author more books and packages.). While I had good results from every face-to-face contact (signing events, speaking engagements, etc.) with respectable sales and responses from the readers, the royalties after three years from the publishers came to 43 cents.

Exploring all options, we believe the best means of getting the widest distribution possible may be in eBooks and online self-publishing in paperback and Kindle formats. That part is still being prayerfully examined.
